Litteratur Mot Stress

project: content strategy, creative campaign
client: Författarcentrum Öst, 2025
team: Hilma Studio / Æsa Saga Ardal, Edit Fándly, Eva Štrocholcová, Lilit Dzhulakian, Maria Andrea Garcia
role: strategist, creative

Författarcentrum Öst is a Swedish non-profit organization connecting 950 authors with clients like libraries and schools. We were asked to help them reach new audiences and create more paid opportunities for their members, especially authors writing for adults.

We saw a clear opportunity: stress is one of the biggest challenges in today’s workplace...
And literature is an underrated tool for addressing it. Our concept, Litteratur mot stress (Literature Against Stress), repackages Författarcentrum’s existing workshops into a new B2B offering aimed at companies. The program invites employees to slow down through shared reading, expressive writing, and deep listening.

We paired the strategy with a creative concept: Stillhet är motstånd
Disconnecting from the current status quo of our highly stressful, demanding and digitalized society is a rebellious act today. Slowing down is an act of disruption.

The campaign visualizes this by presenting pages from a book filled with everyday stress triggers, such as: Last-minute changes. Evening emails. Budget cuts. Pick up the kids at three. No time for lunch. Deadline on Tuesday.
Hidden within the chaos is a quiet message: Stillhet är motstånd (Slowing down is resistance).

Client feedback:

Studio Hilma nailed it. They quickly grasped the complexity of our organization and helped us see our identity with new clarity. Their ideas made us feel seen, challenged, and inspired. The result was not only spot-on—it also opened up new ways of thinking about our work. We can’t wait to start putting it into action.
