Unpaid Interns is an alternative pop-rock band. Their album, Wasted Potential, explores both societal struggles and personal journeys with a sharp, sarcastic edge. To visually represent their music, we embodied the project’s theme—the irony of misused opportunities and untapped potential that surround us.

In the proposed design, we play with the theme of irony by pairing a raw, handwritten font with black-and-white aesthetics, and a transparent vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve. The transparency allows the album to change appearance depending on where it is placed or the hands holding it, reinforcing its overarching message.

The design comprises a vinyl, a song trailer and several merchandise products.
